Mark Rossi

CEO & Founder

As Avanti’s founder and leader, Mark has worked closely with CEO’s, restaurant owners, and operators for most of his career. He started Avanti in 2003 specifically to help clients grow their businesses with commercial kitchens through design, and equipment solutions. Today, under his leadership, Avanti is a forward-thinking partner to national chains, regional restaurant brands, and commercial kitchen facilities across the U.S. and Canada. Moving their businesses Forward Faster.

Gary Coburn

Chief Operating Officer

A 40-year hospitality industry veteran and visionary, Gary’s leadership roles have included owner/operator, creator of concepts and VP of National Accounts and Design-Build teams. As COO for Avanti, Gary sets the tone for our business strategies, plans, and procedures - overseeing operations and promoting our “Forward Faster” culture and vision to our clients.

Rory Clarke

President

Rory has been with Avanti since 2005 and now is responsible for Avanti’s account team development, project management processes, and forward thinking technology. Rory’s focus on strong client relationships and delivery of the best experience possible began at an early age growing up in his dad’s cabinet shop – and today, he leads Avanti’s dedication and efforts to helping clients move their businesses forward faster.

Nicolette Spanner

Executive Assistant

Nicolette joined the restaurant and equipment industry more than 5 years ago, and today supports Avanti’s CEO, COO and President in their focus on strategic growth and business development. Her project management focus and customer-orientation help Avanti’s leaders propel the business Forward Faster.

DESIGN STUDIO

Trey Hoang

Director of Design, Avanti Design Studio

Trey has been with Avanti since 2007 and is passionate about designing kitchen workflows that marry thoughtfully to beautiful interiors. His focus on enhancing the client’s brand and customer experience inspires the rest of the Avanti Design Studio to help clients expand their concepts and their businesses.

Marty Moore

Senior Designer, Avanti Design Studio

Marty is a 20+ year design veteran, with experience in schematic designs, design development, construction documentation and construction administration. He’s well-versed in integrating a brand’s practical requirements and design vision, utilizing today’s technology and equipment to ensure a perfect kitchen solution for each client’s project.

Kyle Yamamoto

Designer, Avanti Design Studio

Kyle joined the Avanti Design Studio in 2013 and has a passion for working closely with clients on their kitchen visions. His focus on design precision and efficiency keeps project timelines on-schedule and on-budget.

Timothy Reed

Design Drafter

Tim has been in the industry for over 15 years and joined the Avanti Design Studio as a Design Drafter in 2019. With a focus on helping clients achieve their vision and goals, Tim is passionate about designing both beautiful and functional spaces.

Mariah McManaman

Chain Sales Executive

Mariah’s career path has coincided with Avanti’s explosive growth. In 2005 she started as a project manager and today she is responsible for business development with some of Avanti’s biggest chain restaurant clients – helping them expand and keep pace with their growth plans and budgets.

Sydni Shepherd

Chain Sales Associate

Sydni’s restaurant career included experience with front-of-house, project management and operations before she moved into sales, supporting Avanti’s chain restaurant clients. With a focus on communication and problem-solving, Sydni is passionate about delivering the perfect commercial kitchen solution for each client.

With more than 35 years experience in the industry, Mike joined Avanti to work closely with our new and existing clients, continuing to strengthen Avanti’s consistency, service, and solutions delivery.

Jen (Bolt) Bolton

Senior Account Manager

A 28-year veteran in restaurant operations plus the last 7 in restaurant equipment, Bolt has a strong customer focus and acts as a primary liaison between Avanti, national account customers, teams, contractors, and designers. Bolt delivers “The Avanti Experience” to clients and knows it starts with a cohesive and connected project team to help them grow.

Account Manager

Shawna joined Avanti in 2016 with over 25 years of success in working chain and fast casual restaurant brands. Her solutions-focused approach has helped customer succeed across a range of concepts and operational needs.

Jay Schlarb

Account Manager

Jay joined Avanti after already working 10+ years in the food service equipment industry – he brings a well-developed focus on creating exceptional customer service and ensuring the right steps are taken every day to manage his accounts projects on-time, on-plan, and on-budget.

Kara Lieske

Senior Project Manager

Kara’s nearly 20 years in the industry brought her to Avanti in 2016, where she specializes in project management for Avanti’s larger more complex multi-unit clients. Her strong knowledge of custom stainless, HVAC systems, and custom refrigeration support the needs of our full service clients and helps her consistently deliver the Avanti Experience.

After 20 years in the restaurant industry and the last 6 with Avanti, Sarah has continued to thrive as a Project Manager. She ensures her clients’ success with a strong commitment to constant and open communication.

Becca Westlake

Project Manager

Becca’s passion for project management began 9 years ago with both front of house and back of house roles in the foodservice industry. Today, she works closely with chain restaurant customers who count on her go-to problem-solving skills to support their projects from start to completion.

Heather has built a strong track record of success in supporting client’s needs in restaurant project management over the last 26 years – ensuring a project runs smoothly and on-time from operations and construction phases all the way through to completion.

Kira Takeshita

Lead Project Assistant

Kira joined Avanti in 2016 to further enhance the project management team, by training all new Project Assistants, ensuring improvement to processes and working to deploy team resources where priorities require.

Francesca Mariotti

Francesca joined Avanti in 2017 and puts her experience focus on working with her customers accounts to ensure their kitchen equipment is ready for project and delivered as scheduled.

Sara Weaver

Project Assistant

With more than 15 years experience in restaurant management and front of house operations, Sara joined Avanti to focus on client support, managing equipment deliveries and keeping her accounts on-time and on-budget.

Hayley Quesada

Hayley’s passion and diligence for supporting the project management teams is focused on replacement orders and warranty service, ensuring effective communication and project management for her clients.

Kaitlyn Gruszie

Project Assistant

Kaitlyn joined Avanti to focus on project management support for replacement orders and warranty service, connecting regularly with customers and vendors to address problems or information needs.

Brookes Moore

Project Assistant

Brookes joined Avanti in 2019, with a background in customer service and 12 years experience in the restaurant industry. His eye for project support, process improvement and detail focus, helps enable smooth project flow for the account teams.

CONTRACT OPERATIONS

Matt Ratzlaff

Director of Contract Operations

Matt is a 23-year veteran of the construction industry, with 10 years specializing in hospitality and restaurant/equipment projects – a perfect fit for Avanti. Here he oversees all design-build and contract projects, and the teams to problem-solve and deliver great solutions for our clients.

Michael Hall

Project Manager

Michael is a Project Manager who joined Avanti in 2013. His unique background in foodservice design and operations is particularly well suited to managing our clients’ projects from equipment to installation to operational performance.

Tyler Alvarez

Project Manager

Tyler has been in the industry for just over two years and joined Avanti as a Project Manager in 2019. With a focus on maintaining a clients’ timeline, and a passion for delivering projects on-plan, Tyler is committed to providing “The Avanti Experience” to every client every time.

Controller

Tom joined Avanti in 2015 to lead our accounting and finance team, having started his career with deep experience as a CPA in the construction industry.

Stephen Schneider

Assistant Controller

Stephen joined Avanti in 2018, and supports the financial reporting needs of the firm, with a meticulous and passionate style for the business.

Michael Paine

Accounts Payable Supervisor

With more than 10 years of accounts payable experience, Michael joined Avanti to oversee vendor management and invoicing on behalf of Avanti’s clients.

Mike Nishkian

Accounts Receivable & Credit Specialist

Mike’s approach to account receivables and invoicing begins with a keen attention to our customers needs and ensuring everyone is on the same page both internally and externally. With 5 years’ experience he brings not only an understanding of the bottom line, but a deep concern for customer satisfaction.

Walid Seraj

Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist

With his deep background in the foodservice, restaurant, hotel and retail industries, Walid joined Avanti in 2015 to bring his 30 years of accounting experience to A/P, A/R and purchasing roles with Avanti’s vendors and clients.

Ashley Benavidez

Accounts Payable Specialist

Ashley joined Avanti in 2019 as Accounts Payable Specialist to focus on vendor, freight company and subcontractor invoicing and processes.

Brian Moore

Accounts Receivable Clerk

Brian joined Avanti as Accounts Receivables Clerk, with focus on financial records, receipts and data accuracy, ensuring our account teams are supported for client financial needs.

Robbie Morgan

Senior Estimator

Born from 10 years in the restaurant/equipment industry and construction. Robbie manages the department’s delivery of estimates, manufacturer deals and discounts, and a close focus on the team’s expertise to support Avanti clients’ projects and budgets.

Tatum Brown

Sales Estimator

Tatum has been in the restaurant industry for more than 8 years, and is an estimator providing accurate and detailed quotes in a timely manner to our current and potential contract customers. A passion for data and learning drives her work.

Randy Cervantes

Estimator

Randy joined Avanti as an Estimator to inspect overall kitchen plans, work with manufacturers and the sales teams to develop bids, specs and job quotes for clients.

Lisa’s focus is Avanti’s people – from recruitment to talent development, all starting with Avanti’s DNA, high-performance and high-integrity culture. As a founder, Member of the Board of Directors, and part of the Executive Team, Lisa’s focus on people is what helps keep Avanti moving Forward Faster for team members and clients alike.
